Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Gateway to the Dragon Kingdom (Altitude: 2,200m)
Your Bhutanese adventure begins upon arrival at Paro International Airport (PBH), where you will be warmly greeted. The afternoon includes a visit to the National Museum, housed in a former watchtower, showcasing Bhutanese art, artifacts, and cultural heritage. We'll then explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century. The evening offers a stroll through Paro town, interaction with locals, and a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant. Accommodation: Hotel in Paro.

Day 2: Paro – The Iconic Tiger's Nest (Altitude: 3,120m)
Today, embark on a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), a breathtaking temple perched on a cliffside. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours uphill. Experience the spiritual aura and panoramic views. (Horse/Mule riding optional for a section of the climb.) In the afternoon, we'll visit Drukgyal Dzong, a ruined fortress with historical significance and experience a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse lunch. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Paro Valley. Optional: Hot stone bath for relaxation. Accommodation: Hotel in Paro.

Day 3: Paro to Thimphu – The Modern Capital (Altitude: 2,320m)
Enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, visit Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge with its fascinating history. In the afternoon, visit Buddha Dordenma, a giant Buddha statue overlooking the Thimphu Valley. Explore the Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan's national animal and the Institute of Zorig Chusum (Arts and Crafts School) to witness traditional Bhutanese art forms. The evening allows you to explore Thimphu town, visit the weekend market (if applicable), and enjoy dinner. Accommodation: Hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha – Through the Dochula Pass (Altitude: 3,100m)
The day starts with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace. Experience the Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient temple perched on a ridge above Thimphu. We then drive to Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass (3,100m), offering stunning views of the Himalayas (weather permitting). Late afternoon: visit Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress located at the confluence of two rivers. Accommodation: Hotel in Punakha.

Day 5: Punakha & Wangdue – Fertility Temple & Rural Life (Altitude: 1,300m)
Today, hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, a beautiful stupa built to promote peace and harmony. In the afternoon, visit Chimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple dedicated to the "Divine Madman." Explore local villages and interact with the community. Optional: River rafting on the Mo Chhu River. Accommodation: Hotel in Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 6: Punakha to Bumthang – Into the Spiritual Heartland (Altitude: 2,600m)
Today is a long scenic drive to Bumthang, crossing Pele La Pass (3,420m). En route, visit Chendebji Chorten, a Nepalese-style stupa. Late afternoon: visit Trongsa Dzong, the largest dzong in Bhutan. The evening concludes with arrival in Bumthang and check-in at your hotel. Accommodation: Hotel in Bumthang.

Day 7: Bumthang – Exploring the Sacred Valleys (Altitude: 2,600m)
Delve into the spiritual heartland with visits to Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Explore Kurjey Lhakhang, a complex of three temples. Then, visit Tamshing Lhakhang, founded by Terton Pema Lingpa and Mebar Tsho (Burning Lake), a sacred lake with religious significance. Accommodation: Hotel in Bumthang.

Day 8: Bumthang to Mongar – Eastern Bhutan Beckons (Altitude: 1,600m)
Drive to Mongar, crossing Thrumshing La Pass (3,800m), the highest pass on Bhutan's east-west highway. Experience the scenic beauty of Eastern Bhutan. In the evening, explore Mongar town and visit Mongar Dzong. Accommodation: Hotel in Mongar.

Day 9: Mongar to Lhuentse & Back – Weaving Traditions & Guru Rinpoche (Altitude: 1,450m)
The day is dedicated to Lhuentse, the ancestral home of the Bhutanese royal family. Visit Khoma village, known for its intricate weaving traditions and Lhuentse Dzong, perched on a hilltop. Witness the largest statue of Guru Padmasambhava. Return to Mongar in the evening. Accommodation: Hotel in Mongar.

Day 10: Mongar to Trashigang – The Eastern Trading Hub (Altitude: 1,100m)
Drive to Trashigang and in the afternoon, visit Trashigang Dzong, overlooking the Gamri River. The evening provides time to explore Trashigang town. Accommodation: Hotel in Trashigang.

Day 11: Trashigang to Trashi Yangtse & Back – Sacred Sites & Wildlife (Altitude: 1,750m)
Visit Gom Kora, a sacred site where Guru Rinpoche meditated and Chorten Kora, a large stupa modeled after Boudhanath in Nepal. In the afternoon, visit the Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary. Return to Trashigang in the evening. Accommodation: Hotel in Trashigang.

Day 12: Trashigang to Sakteng & Back – Land of the Brokpa Nomads (Altitude: 2,800m)
A full day is dedicated to exploring Sakteng Valley, home to the Brokpa nomadic people. Experience their unique culture and traditions and witness the Yak Dance (seasonal). Return to Trashigang in the evening. Accommodation: Hotel in Trashigang.

Day 13: Departure – Paro or Samdrup Jongkhar
Choose between flying from Yonphula Airport (near Trashigang) to Paro (subject to flight availability) and transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, OR driving to Samdrup Jongkhar (for onward travel to Guwahati, India). En route, visit Sherubtse College, Khaling School for the Blind, and potentially the Chokyi Gyatso Institute.

Day 14: Departure from Samdrup Jongkhar
Drive to Guwahati Airport (GAU) for your onward journey, carrying cherished memories of Bhutan.
