Day 1 — Trashigang/Mongar to Radi (drive)
- Drive from Trashigang or Mongar to Radi; meet guide, permits check, overnight in guesthouse.
Day 2 — Radi to Merak (trek/drive)
- Trek (or jeep part-way) into Merak village; short cultural walk, meet locals, overnight in homestay.
Day 3 — Merak (explore & acclimatize)
- Cultural visits to homes and yak pastures, short hikes around village, rest and acclimatize. Overnight Merak.
Day 4 — Merak to Sakteng (trek over ridge)
- Trek 5–7 hrs across high ridges and alpine meadows into Sakteng valley; arrive Sakteng village, overnight in homestay.
Day 5 — Sakteng (explore)
- Visit local hamlets, temples, and high pastures; learn about Brokpa culture and yak herding. Overnight Sakteng.
Day 6 — Sakteng to Trashigang (return)
- Trek/drive back toward Radi/Trashigang; transfer to town, end of trek.
Notes:
- Daily walking, typically 3–7 hours.
- Pack warm layers, rain gear, sturdy boots, and modest clothing for village visits.
