Below is a tailored 25‑day Snowman Trek itinerary starting from Paro in spring (March–May).
Day 1 — Arrive Paro; permit briefing, gear check, overnight Paro (2,250 m).
Day 2 — Drive Paro to trailhead (Tshokha/Haa area); trek to Shana. 3–4 hrs (2,800–3,000 m).
Day 3 — Shana to Soi/Thangthangkha. 5–6 hrs (3,300–3,500 m).
Day 4 — Soi to Jangothang (enter alpine basin). 5–7 hrs (4,000–4,300 m).
Day 5 — Acclimatize at Jangothang; short walks to lakes/viewpoints, prepare for high passes. (4,000–4,300 m)
Day 6 — Jangothang to Lingshi approach. 6–7 hrs (3,800–4,100 m).
Day 7 — Lingshi village day — rest, cultural visit, resupply; short walk. (3,900–4,000 m)
Day 8 — Lingshi to Lingshi La area / high camp. 5–7 hrs (4,400–4,600 m).
Day 9 — Cross high pass; descend toward Shodu/upper valley. 7–9 hrs (passes ~4,800–5,000 m; camp ~4,200 m).
Day 10 — Remote high‑camp / yak pasture day; shorter day for rest and route scouting. 4–6 hrs (4,200–4,400 m).
Day 11 — Cross another pass into Lunana approaches; long day. 7–9 hrs (passes ~4,800–5,100 m; camp ~4,300 m).
Day 12 — Enter Lunana region — glacier lakes, yak herds; moderate day. 5–7 hrs (4,200–4,600 m).
Day 13 — Trek deeper into Lunana; visit yak herder huts/hamlets. 5–7 hrs (4,300–4,700 m).
Day 14 — High pass crossing to alpine plateau; long day. 7–9 hrs (passes up to ~5,200 m; camp ~4,300–4,500 m).
Day 15 — Traverse remote valleys toward North‑Lunana/Gangkar Puensum viewing area. 6–8 hrs (4,200–4,700 m).
Day 16 — Day for exploration/altitude buffer near Gangkar Puensum viewpoint area; acclimatize. 3–5 hrs (4,300–4,800 m).
Day 17 — Continue across high passes; long traverse to next yak pasture. 7–9 hrs (passes 4,800–5,100 m; camp ~4,200–4,500 m).
Day 18 — Cross additional passes; descend slightly into upper Laya–Lingshi corridor. 6–8 hrs (4,300–4,800 m).
Day 19 — Remote village visits, interact with yak herders; shorter day. 4–6 hrs (3,900–4,300 m).
Day 20 — Higher passes and long traverse toward Laya region. 7–9 hrs (passes up to ~5,000 m; camp ~4,200–4,500 m).
Day 21 — Arrive Laya village; rest, cultural visit, overnight homestay (3,850–4,100 m).
Day 22 — Laya to Throjong / high pasture descent. 5–7 hrs (3,900–4,400 m).
Day 23 — Descend toward Gasa region (long day of descending trails). 6–8 hrs (2,800–3,500 m).
Day 24 — Gasa: rest, soak in hot springs, recover from trek. Overnight Gasa (2,600–2,800 m).
Day 25 — Drive back to Paro/Thimphu (depending on route) or to Punakha then onward; end of trek.

Notes:
  • Total duration ~25 days; daily walking 3–9 hrs. Several passes may exceed 5,000 m — high‑altitude experience required.
  • Spring (Mar–May): milder lower trails, possible snow on high passes; best for wildflowers and clearer views as season advances.
